"Philanthropy - love of humanity"

About the project:

The aim of this project is to promote philanthropy in the Southwest region of Macedonia, by encouraging businesses and individuals to come together and donate their knowledge, time and / or resources in the local community in a strategic and focused way in order to achieve a long-term positive impact in all spheres of society.

Аctivities:

Educational campaign for philanthropy to promote the idea of philanthropy and meeting with locals
Analysis of the situation on the ground and the needs of citizens, choice of priorities in different areas of work that will be submitted to local philanthropists and analysis of current giving practices in Struga and Ohrid
Organizing promotional meetings with representatives of the business sector, chambers of commerce and trade associations
Organizing an event for fundraising and selection philanthropist, Awarding the best philanthropist and presentation of project results

Results:

Enhanced awareness of the private sector and citizens about the importance of philanthropy and social responsibility to the communities in which they operate by implementing an educational campaign
Prepared analysis of the needs of citizens, defined areas and selected priority activities that could be supported through philanthropy in two municipalities of Southwest
Increased interest of the private sector actively involved in supporting local development and cooperate with civil society organizations and local authorities by organizing meetings with local businessmen and focus groups with business clubs, Chamber of Commerce and guild associations
Increased level of resources available for the implementation of interventions related to improving the quality of life of residents in Southwest Macedonia
Organized special event fundraising
Creating a positive climate and trust between the different actors in the community in terms of taking joint local initiatives benefit all residents
